Geographic Information Systems Minor

The minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with opportunities to engage the theory, processes, techniques and tools that use spatial data and computational technology to create cutting-edge analysis and mapping approaches for a wide range of fields. These include agriculture, anthropology, architecture, community development, criminology, environmental management, environmental sciences, geology, history, landscape architecture, natural resources, political science, public health, sociology, business, computer science, engineering, fitness and human performance, healthcare administration, humanities, information technology, marketing and urban planning. The minor is open to all undergraduate majors.
